As we move into fall, it’s a great time for you to meet another member of our stellar Novva team: Eric Morgan. The current Vice President of Sales, Eric plays a vital role in our success. What does a typical day look like for you?
As with any company and industry, sales can be a very fluid and not-so-typical role. While every day looks a little bit different, I generally spend time connecting with the team, reaching out to clients, prospects, connections, etc., following up where needed, and repeating that process.
What is your favorite part of being on the Novva team?
There is no other team like the one we have here at Novva. We are a work family who gets to spend our days supporting some of the most amazing facilities. That family environment, combined with the amazing projects we get to be a part of, makes this a team I feel so fortunate to be a part of.
If you could trade roles with someone else at Novva for the day, who would it be and why?
That’s easy! It would definitely be WIRE. Who wouldn’t want to be a robot dog for the day?
What trend in the industry are you most excited about?
Sustainability and energy efficiency are obviously huge topics of conversation in the industry right now. That being said, the trend I am most excited about is zero-water/waterless cooling. It’s inspiring to see the work being done to advance cooling options and maximize the efficiency and use of solutions like zero-water/waterless cooling. I think the work being done today is laying the groundwork for significant change in the near future, and that’s a memorable thing to witness.
Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about?
When I am not at work you can find me leisurely riding my beach cruiser, carving on my longboard, or parked on the sofa watching the Kansas City Chiefs or any NFL team compete to get to the Super Bowl.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working in the data center/tech/telecom industry?
I’m a big football fan, so I’d have to say I’m an NFL broadcaster in an alternate universe somewhere.
What is something that you think would surprise people to hear about you?
I ride a mountain unicycle (the surprise is that these exist).
What is the one thing you would bring with you to a desert island?
This is another easy one – Plumbing. 100%.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
To swim downstream. Sometimes giving up control to live in the now and follow where the current wants you to go leads you right where you need to be.
